Senior Software Engineer

Collaborate with Product Management in defining the Product Vision. Work closely with the Product Owner, Sales, and Business Analysts for understanding the system’s functional and non-functional requirements. Work closely with the Product Owner to plan and execute projects, ensuring that teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively on schedule. Support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog. Demonstrate leadership abilities in the deployment of software upgrades, enhancements and fixes that are coordinated based on release schedules. Provide software development plan that meets the future needs of clients and markets based on state-of-the-art technologies. Evolve the existing software system applications and architecture in various areas as needed. Help to identify and eliminate roadblocks to the team’s productivity. Coordinate releases and sprint planning, conduct daily scrum meetings, and facilitate team retrospectives by serving as Scrum Master. Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels. Facilitate discussions, decision making, and conflict resolution. Implement continuous integration by automating build and deployment process. 
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science plus five years of experience as Software Engineer or in software development or software project management. Experience must include: working through the design, development, release cycle, and delivery of software products; developing multi-tier, component-based applications applying design patterns; and leading software development projects. Also requires: Experience with Microsoft and Java technologies, and C/C++; in-depth knowledge of OOAD technologies; good knowledge of CMMI processes and standards; strong leadership, project management, time management, and problem solving skills; and a record of successful delivery of software applications as an individual and/or team leader. Senior Software Engineer:

Develop software products using proprietary methods and Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid development methodology. Develop software with high level features, including object oriented programming, system stimulation, and complete system diagnostics. Participate in Project Define Phase sessions to define the high-level new business needs, and perform detailed analysis of business requirements. Prepare system feasibility document specifications and identify the impacted systems and technical requirements. Conduct architecture/design brainstorm sessions with all interfacing teams, architects, DBA’s and produce system design & architecture. Work closely with Data Architects and DBA’s to prepare Logical Data Model and Physical Database Model for the databases. Design Webservices Description Language (WSDL) document, XML/XSD Schema specifications for new Webservices using latest tools. Create Design Report documents which includes various design artifacts, such as Logical Architecture Design, Physical Architecture Design, Message Flow diagrams, UML diagrams, Logical and Physical Database Design objects and WSDL/XSD. Build and develop the proposed solution using best suited technology, create test cases, unit test the code, conduct review as per industry standards and implement code. Conduct system integration testing, regression & performance testing, and create test plan and test report. Plan and create change requests and implement the code changes in Production. Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve the critical production issues in a timely manner within the pre-determined SLA’s and without impacting the customers. Participate in the re-architecture of the existing IT infrastructure/ systems as needed to provide better performance and user experience to the end users/customers. Create Disaster Recovery Strategy and DR Environment for the client applications which would enable to recover the critical IT systems within the SLA. Work with Infrastructure team to build new IT Infrastructure needs, efficient Message Communication protocol and design/build the Enterprise Messaging Integration infrastructure, alerts systems, other monitoring/communication mechanisms. Use a variety of software tools and technologies including Java/J2EE, SOAP & REST Webservices, IBM WebSphere Application Server, JBOSS, IBM MQ, Amazon Webservices (AWS), IBM DB2, IBM Rational Application Developer, IBM Rational Software Architect (RSA), MAVEN, JENKINS, New Relic, and JMeter. 
Requirements: BS or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field and five years of experience as Software Engineer, Software Architect, Developer, Software Programmer or in a related position. Experience must include the use of Java/J2EE, SOAP & REST Webservices, IBM WebSphere Application Server, JBOSS, IBM MQ, Amazon Webservices (AWS), IBM DB2, IBM Rational Application Developer, IBM Rational Software Architect (RSA), MAVEN, JENKINS, New Relic, and JMeter.
