Senior Software Engineer

Design, develop, test, document and implement software applications including Web and Client Server applications in the insurance domain. Analyze and review system capabilities and software requirements to determine feasibility of design. Translate business requirements into technical specifications. Formulate plan, to develop the program, using structured analysis and design. Determine permissible deviations, and deliver solutions that meet the requirements.
Provide maintenance and production support. Coordinate extensive testing procedures with business users. Work closely with project managers, business analysts, offshore resources, and QA analysts. Use a variety of software tools and technologies including ASP.Net, C#.Net, SQL Server, VB6, WCF, JavaScript, SSIS, JQuery, XML, Windows Services, and Web Services.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Math, Physics or related field and five years of experience as Software Engineer, Analyst Programmer or related position. Must have experience developing applications in the insurance domain. Experience must include use of ASP.Net, C#.Net, SQL Server, VB6, and WCF. Work location: Sterling, VA. Travel/relocation to unanticipated project locations throughout the U.S. may be required.
